Chair Yoga NEW!!


Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is done sitting on a chair or standing, using a chair for support. It is an ideal way to ensure that anyone of any level of health and physical ability can enjoy the mind-body benefits of yoga. As with typical yoga classes, you will improve your flexibility, concentration, and balance while increasing your strength, range of motion, and self-confidence. Eryn is a specialized yoga teacher with over 12 years' experience modifying the practice for students of all abilities. 

 

Curiosity is just as good a reason as any to try out this unique and all-inclusive specialized 6-week session of Chair Yoga.

 

You can benefit from (and enjoy!) Chair Yoga if you are:  

 

  • Recovering from illness or surgery

  • Looking to get fit for the first time 

  • Seeking a more gentle practice

  • You have chronic knee or back issues

  • Struggling with balance

  • A senior who has never done yoga

  • With specific physical limitations

  • A prenatal or post-natal woman 

  • Looking for stress reduction and not sure where to start!

  • Looking for stretches that can be used at the office 

  • Travel often and need stress-reduction tools that can be applied in a confined space (airplane, train, passenger seat, etc).

Time: 2:30-3:15pm (45 minutes per class)

Location: Barrhaven United Church (upstairs in the large hall)

Cost: $80.00 (includes taxes)
Drop-ins are $15 per class.
